At Lifestorm, I have chosen the online Zoom video call platform for my sessions, which offer additional encrypted security to ensure your confidentiality. Just as in face-to-face counselling, online Zoom sessions can cover almost any issue that is holding you back in life, and there is essentially no difference in the quality and process of therapy that I can offer you. Perhaps surprisingly, many of my clients find it easier to connect with their feelings when they are in front of a screen, rather than in front of a person.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, remote counselling sessions have been invaluable in helping me to offer continuity of contact to clients who would otherwise have been isolated. Furthermore, this flexible and convenient method is also very useful for a variety of other reasons and situations:
During our initial free 30 minute session, we will discuss a few things we need to think about in working remotely. The key factors are having a strong and stable enough internet connection, a webcam, and enough privacy to have your session and be able to talk freely without being interrupted or overheard. I will always conduct my online appointments in my private and secure practice room, maintaining the same standards of privacy and confidentiality as in personal face-to-face therapy.
I also provide a telephone based option if you do not have access to the internet.
Take me up on a free 30 minute introductory session via video call or telephone. It will provide you with the opportunity to find out whether counselling is the right way forward, whether we are comfortable with each other, and what our expectations are.
